Description
The Tron 40AIS meets the International Maritime Organization (IMO) mandatory regulations effective July 2022 and complies with Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) requirements. It is approved by MED, MER (UK), FCC, and IC. This device is equipped with infrared LEDs (IR LEDs), which support night vision and greatly improve search and rescue (SAR) operations in dark or low-light conditions. The Tron 40AIS is compatible with the Galileo Return Link System, which is Europe’s Global Navigation Satellite System and has been operational since January 2020. This EPIRB has been tested and meets the operational and performance requirements set by the international standard IEC 61097-2 Edition 4 (April 2021).
